A Modern Precinct Designed for Life Enters Public Exhibition

The proposal to revitalise the former Eastlakes Shopping Centre site has reached a key milestone, with plans now officially on public exhibition. The project introduces a contemporary precinct that balances daily retail convenience with thoughtfully designed residences.

Eastlakes is a neighbourhood defined by its strong character and community roots. At Conquest, our focus is on creating enduring places that naturally integrate into their surroundings, making local insight an essential part of the planning process.

Situated just six kilometres from the Sydney CBD, the 1.7-hectare former Eastlakes Shopping Centre site is being reimagined into a welcoming, connected destination. The architecture and layout prioritise intuitive daily living and seamless human connection: a place to gather over morning coffee, access essential health and wellness services, dine with friends, and reconnect with neighbours in open, sunlit surroundings.

At ground level, the new Queensbridge Shopping Centre will feature a flagship Woolworths alongside a carefully curated selection of specialty retailers focused on fresh providore offerings, dining, and daily care. Designed with generous, pedestrian-focused pathways, the plaza effortlessly links retail life with the surrounding green spaces that define the Eastlakes landscape.

Rising above the central plaza, the residential vision comprises 736 light-filled apartments, including 10 per cent dedicated affordable housing across a balanced mix of build-to-rent and build-to-sell residences. Each residence is crafted to respond to the evolving needs of modern urban living in Sydney's east.

Through an ongoing partnership, local artist Joe Rashbrook has been appointed as Urban Art Curator, collaborating with young residents to transform site hoardings into an evolving public gallery. It is an initiative that allows the neighbourhood to feel the creative energy of the future precinct long before the doors open.
